A long lunch among the vines at Lindenderry

It was a delight to attend the 21st March 2025 Long Lunch among the vines at Lindenderry of Red Hill as part of the annual Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. The weather had other ideas, so we enjoyed the warmth of the Dining Room overlooking the beauty that is Lancemore Lindenderry Estate, served by the most wonderful Host James Perkins and his team for a unique Chef to table experience.

Including Chefs Nick McGonigal, Michael Wickham, Josep Espuga, Wahab Hassan and Deepak Mishra. The event was a coming together of local venues to deliver one sensational plate per venue.

Avani Wines presented a Hiramasa Kingfish, pickled Paw Paw, Homemade tempered buttermilk and Peninsula Crisp Hot Herbs, paired with an Avani 2023 Amrit Skin-Contact Pinot Gris

Pt Leo Estate served a savoury burnt Main Ridge Dairy Basque Cheesecake and Pt Leo Estate Carrots paired with 2024 Pt Leo Estate Pinot Gris

Jackalope delivered the main a Roaring Forties Lamb loin, green goddess, their garden leeks, peninsula almond praline and baby turnips, a glass of 2023 Rare Hare LL Vineyard Pinot Noir

Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill delighted with a dessert of Main Ridge Dairy Tartlette, Mock Red Hill Apple, poached caramel (and my favourite) Dill Sorbet! With a glass of 2023 Lindenderry Estate Pinot Gris.
